This seems like a shady way to keep tabs on employees with known conditions that could impact their productivity instead of actually being helpful. I feel like it would only be more stressful for most people with ADHD.

I think it’s just a PR move. I was there when they just announced it (left since then) but I felt as if the program was more performative than anything, just so they can say they’re making strides in DEI. There was programming and webinars, but… like we all had work we needed to do and they stopped accommodating for remote work. Their mental health programs were very similar. We were given free counseling sessions with therapists contracted externally and the therapists were very sympathetic about our struggles but there wasn’t much they could do to help because the exploitive work environment of big law was the problem, not the individual.

Does anyone have tips regarding attending social events, such as happy hours with coworkers and express that drinking isn’t my preference?
With me being the only one on my team who doesn’t drink, it causes me to stick out, and others constantly question why I’m not drinking.
It kind of deters me from attending work events, but I know there’s a lot of benefitting in being around.

Trigger: rare illness post birth

Just sharing that I was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia 3 days after giving birth despite not having risk factors or preeclampsia in my pregnancy. Sharing as I had absolutely no idea about this illness.

Main things to do are check your BP everyday at least the first ten days after you give birth, and go to hospital if it's very high (over 160/110). If you get severe headache or stomach ache then also be vigilant.
