Bain & Company Contemplating a move from Accenture Strategy to Strategy&, or Monitor Deloitte. Part of my consideration is the assumption that WLB is likely to be better than at McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, or Bain & Company. Could any of you fellow European fishies shed some light on the validity of this assumption? Sharing experiences would be highly appreciated.

Hi folks, I've accepted an offer from Monitor Deloitte as a Strategy Consultant. Although in the offer letter, the name of the company is Deloitte India LLP. Just wondering if anyone else has gone through the process and is currently working at Monitor. I wanted to understand about the projects, hierarchy and overall culture at Monitor. My base location is Gurgaon. Deloitte India Deloitte Monitor Deloitte Deloitte USI

Best consulting companies in the social sector?
Bain & Company Fishes, I wonder if you have suggestion on office selection, I am finishing my dual degree(advanced degree and applying for post MBA level job) next year and now applying for consulting roles in the states. I have never been to the states and will only arrive on campus in Fall. I am keen on Seattle and SF offices but I have no affiliation or experience there. Any suggestions? Expect the job to be based wherever the position says it is based. That said, we will have hybrid work when we come back - you can be up to 50% work from home without manager approval. More than 50% requires manager approval.
In most cases, you’ll be wasting the hiring manager’s time if you aren’t willing to relocate to where it says the job is based.
I think the job posting require the hiring manager to put a location. You can ask the recruiter if the hiring manager is open to fully remote on the initial screening. Willingness to have people be remote varies wildly by group. For what it’s worth, I am 100% remote and was before covid as well
M2 what is your role?
Usually remote positions will say "Location: Other"
Yeah that’s what I’m seeing with other companies, and even other big tech companies. I just hadn’t heard anything about Microsoft’s stance, so figured I’d ask to see if anyone worked there or might know.
Yes
I would just go for it and then negotiate your location accordingly. Most of these jobs are nationwide and remote in nature - pending what work looks like going into 2022.
Agreed. One of the first question I ask in an interview. If the answer for relo is no for our Redmond based team, then it’s a no go
Rising Star
A lot of companies have had a work from home arrangement even before the pandemic. And more jobs will undoubtedly remain open to permanent work from home or a mix where you can decide when/how often you’d want to be at the office. Even if the job doesn’t say remote exclusively I don’t think it’s off the table.
