Does anyone know of any remote contract jobs in auditing? Specifically, risk management, compliance or internal auditing? I’m able to work 20+ hours a week. I’m a detailed-oriented person and and a great communicator. I also have a lot of experience in presentation design and enjoy doing those a lot. Question about remote job negotiations

I'm currently interviewing for a remote role for a company based in NY.

The thing is I'm based in a different city (southern U.S.)

My question is:

When it comes time to talk compensation, should I base the market rate for the role on my city of residence or NY?

Would it make sense to ask them directly how they determine comp for NY-bases vs. other city-based employees?

Is anyone’s company shifting to a hybrid in office/wfh model?

Email from leadership last week. We can go back as soon as 7/5 with permission. Had to let our boss know. Phase 1 will begin in July and go through end of Sept, provided schools are re opened. Future phases will be announced at a later date. So, I guess at this point in time, things are still up in the air.

Can the hybrid model actually work?

People have gotten so used to just backing meetings up into each other. You logout of one and immediately jump in to another. I remember days full of meetings before but not at this volume.

I struggle believing this practice will cease with any percentage of the workforce at home. I don't subscribe to all or nothing but I'm interested in if this has been addressed. Has anyone's hybrid policy mentioned the future of meeting best practice?
