As a new employee in a big company, I've noticed that my opinions and ideas don't seem to matter as much as those of more experienced colleagues, even though we're doing similar work. I struggle to understand why the corporate world often only rewards people in high positions, instead of recognizing everyone's hard work. Sometimes it feels like the work I do goes unnoticed, while any mistakes I make get a lot of attention, as if to justify why I'm not being rewarded more.
Is this normal?

Doesnt even know how to talk in a certain professional manner, fed up with his nagging behaviour.

And yeah forgets everything! Need to remind him each and everytime about the tasks and boom, then he comes up with his negative demotivating statements!

Did first set of redlines for a partner. Have ten years experience doing what this partner does but I am new to working with him. Said I did about a 7 out of 10 on that job. Not sure how to feel about that. What say you all? :) Keep in mind I asked for a 1 to 10 because I cannot talk to him about it for a week or so.

Do you think resume past behaviour is really a predator for future behaviour ? To me there has to be more psychological statistic on this to ring true as all work variable differ for each workplace, including performance expectations, tasks and evaluations.
