Been a Strategic Accounts Manager in medical device sales for the last 2 years. My goal has never been to become a career sales person. I accepted this position as an opportunity to become more in tune with my industry. However, Im afraid of becoming pigeon holed in this career field. Has anyone made the jump from sales to other areas of their business? What we’re your biggest hurdles? What was your next logical stop in your career?

If you make it to senior manager at big four can you leave and become partner or director at mid size firm? Is this hard to do? I know there is a lot of politics at big four and have no interest staying in a senior manager role for 6-8 years and risk a chance of still not becoming partner. Also I got a long way to go before senior manager fyi.

Hi fishes, I recently joined Accenture, I am from manual testing background and they put me into monitoring team where we need to analyse errors looking at codes, logs and resolve it and the KT that is being given to me doesnt feel enough when I raised concern to TL, TL itself is blaming it on me that I qm not able to understand what is being taught, I am not able to work in the project at all, I requested for roll off within a month, will this imact my career at accenture? someone please sugges

My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?

I've decided to leave public for an Accounting Manager position in private. What are the different types of companies to consider and the pros/cons? What are the best ways to get the position? I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. Or that I'm qualified). But long-term, knowing account roles are so much more plentiful than brand planning in PR, I'm wondering if I should start thinking about account. Just finished my degree in managerial science and have a minor in marketing and a Sales certificate. Have had 4 different management jobs. Just accepted an opportunity as a district manager for an Insurance company. Not 100% sure about Commission-based only. My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster.
