Being approached for a Workforce Planning and Analytics Director role (not HRMS focused).... at a company with ~1000 employees. 🤔 Does this seem odd to anyone else? Seems pretty small. Bad omen?

Is it a company with high turnover or plans to rapidly change / transform / expand over the next couple of years? In normal, stable conditions, it sounds like there isn’t enough to warrant a director role.

I don’t know but will definitely ask that.

I’m actively searching & looking for a new strategist position since my current agency is mismanaging not only myself but the relationship with the client. It’s a dumpster fire.

I’m wondering what questions I should look out for and be aware of as I find myself getting past the HR screens pretty quickly.

Also - if your agency is remote or LA based and hiring, feel free to let me know in the comments as well :)

Currently going through some negations on an internal role. I’m currently at 88k and they offered me 100k for a position that requires a lot more work. Do you guys think it’s easier to land a higher salary when applying externally rather than internally? Also this is for a territory sales management role. They stated 120k+ is extremely high for that role. What do you guys think? Playing the game?

Hi. I’m looking for advice. I recently interviewed for a job with the EPA. The hiring manager and team seems like it would be a good fit and I would be working on projects that would be what I want to be doing as a career. The job description has not been written up yet. How likely would the job be remote versus telework? My boyfriend has said he would not want to relocate. It almost seems like a cliché situation and I would be very conflicted about moving away from him.

I'm an experienced Generalist/HRBP for an extremely high volume/large org. I have a masters in HROD and SHRM-CP. My role is getting to be more and more transactional by the day, all my strategic projects get pushed to the side by the endless daily fires that are, inevitably, tracking down employees and data entry. I'm actively looking for a new role (preferably Sr generalist etc), but can't seem to stand out among the crowd. Any tips? Louisville, KY.

Hello,
I am in my late 20s currently in a career transition from teaching to consultancy. I am interested in consultancy jobs within the international development industry that would also allow me to travel. However, I do not have any relevant experience. I speak French and have a background in business and Political Science.
Any advice on how to break into the field with no experience?
Thanks in advance!
