I had final techno manager round which was completed on 30 Mar, and after ugadi holiday, on 6th I have received the positive feedback and confirmation mail and asked to share the payslips and relevant documents. Still waiting for the offer letter. Called HR on 20th April for the updates, she told she is working on my offer and it will release soon. Any ideas on this fishes?Cerner Corporation

I've had a hybrid role for the past 4 years where I get unlimited sick days (well 14 really until fmla kicked in), 3 weeks of vacation, 3 personal days. I am also given the week after Xmas off. if my toddlers are sick I can work at home with them. Interviewing w fortune 500 that offers 15 pto days that have to use for sick days too.Strictly in office job 9-5 and dress bus.prof. These bad benefits? Outdated culture?I am a seasoned professional. Seems tough.

Honestly I just finished The Handmaid's Tale and loved it. Its suspenseful and super intriguing, plus the whole dystopian mindfuck, I couldn't put it down. I actually want to go back and re read because the writing and prose is so beautiful, but I sped through it cause I wanted to know how it ended! I highly recommend :)
Red Notice- Bill Browder. Based on a true story. He actually started his career with BCG. NY Times says this is the book that explains why the Russians wanted to meet with the Trump campaign. Finished it in a weekend.

Read The Expats by Chris Pavone! Sooo good and suspenseful. I liked handmaids tale like everyone is saying. The heart goes last (also my Margaret Atwood) is very good as well.
The Circle - dave Eggers. Terrific book about the unintended consequences of social media
Freedom by Jonathan Franzen. Little old but a compelling portrait of an American family

Handmaids tale is good. I recently read The Girl in Cabin 10 and enjoyed it; it's like The Girl on the Train and Gone Girl if you like that thing, so good vacation read.

Anything by Michael Lewis if you're into finance or economics. Malcolm Gladwell is good as well if you like pop-sci/ psychology, etc
"The Orphan Master's Son" A novel set in North Korea that won a Pulitzer a few years back. Somewhat upsetting but very timely and interesting.

Oh and Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. I literally read it cover to cover on a random Saturday. So good and really makes you think.
