I once used my corporate card to buy $1200 in suits after the only one I’d packed came back from Magic City smelling like loud. Nothing happens. Just pay it off on time.

likefunny

1) Google it and be glad you did 2) Because I hadn’t brought clothes that were more appropriate for the venue. We went for Magic Mondays 3) Brooks Brothers happened to have a deal going 4) I didn’t have them tailored until I returned to LA. My client is formal, so I needed something for the rest of the week 5) Ask your coolest friend what loud is

likefunny

Yes! Just pay it off. I’ve accidentally used my corp card a few times.

like

I wouldn’t… You can add your PayPal account as the payment method though. PayPal can use your checking acct number vs a card number.

like

Why on earth would it matter if you’re not claiming reimbursement? I’ve done this several times and have never heard from finance about it or seen a reason why anyone would take issue with it… Obviously don’t charge anything you wouldn’t be ok with your employer knowing about (e.g. probably wouldn’t charge a weed delivery or strip club visit) but beyond that not sure why anyone would care

helpful

Lmao I had to buy plan B on mine last year

like

i do it. you're completely responsible for your corporate card. I have not received any complaints.

like

Do it. I always paid it off before the statement and never heard a peep.

like

Meh, go for it

You're not supposed to, but you won't get in trouble as long as you pay it yourself without attempting to get reimbursed. Your firm almost certainly has a well established method for allowing people to pay off the personal expenses.

Ask you boss. If it’s a one off, I’m sure it will be fine.

Consult Corp policy, not your boss

You know you can order UberEATS using one payment method then switch it later on even after delivery right? Just switch to the personal card once you get it.

Not trolling. Not concerned about personal expenses Did it occur to go get some cash and go to grab a bite? I get that Uber eats doesn’t take cash. I’m old, but not antique. G

Most companies have strict “no personal use” clauses for corporate credit cards, even if you pay it yourself. I’ve been required to terminate people for it.

No! Slippery slope!

Pretty sure you'll be fine, don't make a habit of it. Certain purchases are blocked by Diners, so it won't work in a liquor store or some technology purchases. UberEats and the like won't have an issue.

You don't have a debit card?

Any pen testing or red teaming jobs (cleared or commercial)? I have some practice in HTB or THM but I don’t have OSCP or GPEN.
