Get a copy of the Change Management Institute's Change Management Body of Knowledge. Or the corresponding guide. Both available on Amazon. This defines the WHAT you need to know.
Then, get the Standard for Change Management from ACMP. You can download it for free. That's the WHAT you need to do.
Prosci is merely the HOW with tools and models. The CMBoK and the Standard should put you in a good place.

Some of the best I've learned has been through textbooks full of case studies. The PROSCI cert is okay, but not worth that much at all, clients appreciate it more than the companies hiring you
