Anyone from AMEX project?
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

No
You can only book via Amex
No, you need to be using firm AmEx and will likely find yourself under scrutiny if you don’t. How does it make a difference? It represents volume and negotiating power with AmEx. Sign up for membership rewards, the points are flexible. It’s not worth it to skirt the system on this one.
@D1 any thoughts on why not? How does it make any difference to the firm provided there is no difference in fares and the receipts all add up? New to the firm so kinda unsure about how it works.
That makes sense. P1, thanks for clarifying. :)
use your card
This has been covered several times before but this is one of the red lines and will lead to serious scrutiny/termination faster than many other policy violations.
No problem OP, always hate to see people get dinged on this one since it’s so preventable.
D3 absolutely untrue. While flights are probably a no-go, stuff like Amtrak and Ubers can easily be put on personal. Hotels are not encouraged, but if you do repeatedly you get an email recommending that you use your amex instead. While not encouraged, it is not a red line
