Q: for FAANG recruiters, do candidates get a reject stamp after failing even at the later stages?
I advanced to the last stage at Facebook (Meta) around a year ago but failed on my last interview, a combination of not being familiar with the process and not having chemistry with the interviewer.
A friend who is a hiring manager recently recommended me and this time without even a HR call I received a straight up thanks but no thanks email.
Does this mean I’ve been permanently black listed?

I don’t understand what’s funny in my post though.
It’s a genuine question and I am curious to get some perspective. I AM aware of the immigration scene in the US but still want to see if someone has anything valuable & different to offer here other than what I already know.
And the manager that just laughed at my question- You should be ashamed of yourself for being the nasty person that you are.

Tell them, no harm in asking.
Yea. That’s what I was thinking. Was just wanting to see if someone else has been in the same boat.. Thanks 😊
Facebook asks you to fill out an immigration questionnaire. Based on that recruiter will confirm. It all depends on the position. Good luck! 👍
This is helpful! Thank you D1.
If not ask if they have a similar role in india
Yea, that’s gonna be one of my questions too. I hope it works out well in one or the other way.. I am quite prepared for the role that they have as this is what I do the best & seems like a perfect fit for me!! If only, these additional issues were not there :-) Thanks for the response!!
What’s your skill set OP ? Just curious. All the best with the opportunity.

No. They prefer using their hands.
FB does sponsor the right candidate to come over to the US. The person I know had to start out in India and then moved to US in less than a year and have been here since.
That’s great to know!!! Thank you EYP..
Good luck OP! I hope it works out!
Thank you kpmg1 !
Ask the recruiter if they will sponsor. Good luck!
Thanks SC2. Yes, that’s what my plan is!
why did not Deloitte apply for renew? it’s very weird.
Because I am a USI professional and there was no commitment from the firm for a renewal. and the firm has limited the visas this year. And covid made things worse. And my project was almost over too..
I assumed you’re from Deloitte so you would understand USI.. in case you’re unfamiliar with this term, USI is the offshore India division of the US firm.
Did you complete six years of H1b and returned or you still have time left ?
Unfortunately L1 is non transferable. If you are able to proceed with the interviews and get the offer, they will have to do a new L1 or target h1 for April 2021. Good luck, hope it works for you!
If you’ve had an H1B once, and if there is the option to get this new visa through FB stamped in India now - I don’t think they should’ve an issue.
A friend is in a same boat with amazon, and his team is ready to make an offer if his visa stamping situation is sorted out.
That’s good to know! But i had an L1 visa. And good luck to your friend with his situation!
When did you leave US on H1B? FB can file a non-cap H1B for you if your last H1B exit was within six years.

OP has mentioned that were on the L1
