Hi, I created this bowl to connect people applying to KPMG with the right person. I post different job openings that might interest you too. Or you can ask me with any job categories and I can let you know once there is a vacancy. Please email me your resume and I will start by referring you to the KPMG portal. My email address is anjaansam@gmail.com. Thank you!!!
I was interviewed at EY UK on 7th Sep. It was quite smooth. Since then I haven't heard anything back from them though interviewer claimed SLA to get back with outcome of interview is 48 hours. On portal it still says I'm in hiring team phase. It was level 1 interview.
Should I take this delay as rejection?

Sending a thank you email never hurt. But not sending one could.
Why is this even a question? You should always send a thank you. It's an opportunity to remind the agency why you're the best candidate for the job. It will also help you stand out from those who couldn't be bothered to send one.

Totally. Its manners.
Don’t just send a thank you, include something you think they’d find interesting. If you can’t do that, you didn’t ask the right questions.
Yessssss
Or course! Use it as a way to follow up on something you discussed to prove you’re the right candidate for the job. Keep selling til you close it!
Yes! I also like receiving them.
Absolutely yes. Always.
What possible harm could there be unless you do something stupid like spell the person’s name wrong? Absolutely send thank you emails. It’s a little thing to make yourself stand out, just like writing a good cover letter.
I’ve noticed that people who get the job usually are the ones who send thank you notes.
Rising Star
Yes, I expect them and am surprised when folks don’t think to follow up.
Yes. Even better, send a hand written thank you. Will leave a huge impression (especially if the boss is Gen X or older.)

Yes, especially if it’s a connection I want to keep.
No, but I always send one via USPS 📝
Yes! I’ve received a reply more often than not.
Yes; always.
Yes do it.
Uh oh - everyone still writes thank you notes? 😰 I totally stopped doing it. I would always take way too much time to write something thoughtful and witty but I never once received a note back. I get why people don’t respond to thank you notes but it always left me feeling insecure and bummed out. And I still got job offers after I stopped sending them so I assumed they don’t really carry much weight. I always say thank you and add something sincere at the end of the interview and that feels more genuine to me. I also think it’s very petty to not give some one a job because they didn’t send you a thank you note.
Do you really want the fact that you didn’t take 5 min to send a thank you be the deciding factor between you and an equally qualified candidate?
Is it too late to send one if they already moved you forward to the next person? Guess it can't hurt to say "thanks for moving me forward, I enjoyed speaking with you and so and so..."
Is it aggressive to send one the day of your interview?
Always. And if you don’t it’s a serious mark against you when I’m hiring
I’ve been on the interviewee side of hiring processes where I’ve met with over 10 people plus recruiter. Tried my best to send to as many as possible, but it’s a full time job to outline unique and personalized notes for each one. I think they are nice to have, but they should not be a make or break it for a good candidate given many companies don’t even close the loop with candidates that have spoken with half the company and wrote a full on strategy as a writing assignment.
