Ross or Fuqua?
Hi All,
I joined Tech Mahindra for 5 days only and didn't find suitable timing for my project and emailed resignation mail to manager and HR. After that HR asked me to resign over portal but at the same time blocked my portal. After requesting many times they didn't unblock my portal and pretended like they want to unblock but there is some issue going on and marked my profile absconded. I have cleared fnf but they are not providing reliving letter but added pf amount also. What to do?

You want to join just because of the pension?
Not enrolling people in to it any more. Not for a long time.
Great point Op. I guess that’s why I’ve been planning for retirement? 🙄 But I’d have a 401k and other investments with full growth from my performance. I’d prefer that over a pot that others have to contribute to to be successful. Do you understand the concept of a Roth 401K?
OP, lolno. You’re going to be greatly disappointed with your pension benefits. You’re FAR better off taking advantage of ACNs 401k than you are of Ds pension + 401k.
As an HR consultant, I agree with SM1. Have you been reading the news about pensions liability and how companies and de-risking it with all sorts of loopholes that make the plan potentially worth only hundreds of dollars a year
Back when tech was competitive in the early 2000s. Not anymore. They're even buying people out of it because it's such a big liability to offer lifetime benefits.
No our pension is not going away anytime soon. It’s not a super rich benefit, but it secure and completely provided by the firm
Nope 3 years
Why pension over 401k? I wouldn’t want something targetable for cuts, or where young people need to pay in to fund older...or something I don’t understand, obviously
Yes for pension
Yes please. Pension is for those who missed bus due to huge student loans for self n kids
A4 I’m not sure you understand pensions. It’s not really others paying into the pot. It’s the company responsible. And while yes they can decide to stop it one day, they can’t take what they already promised you for service already accrued. And there are regulatory agencies to insure pensions. Nothing happens if your 401k crashes.
There is a reason organizations stopped offering defined benefit plans. The days of pensions are long gone. Sad truth
Hmm..is there any future possibility as this will become my big factor in very near future
I think Deloitte offers
Of course not
Out pension only is really good if you stay until the PPMD level
I thought I heard that Deloitte was transitioning away from pensions for anyone not already signed up?
5yrs need to stay in service to get pension right?
Pension is more important than 401k and Are there any other companies that provide this benefit?
Three years that’s the best time period
