I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Sounds like something you'd more likely find at a boutique firm. Try google or LinkedIn; good luck! Sounds like a cool idea.
When I interned at PwC, they had a group within R&D (pharma/life sciences, healthy advisory) that did that. That was my first project actually, helping them commercialize some of the patents they had but couldn't really do anything with bc they were technically owned by the university
