Have any of you heard of diagnostic lab companies or other health providers 1)paying doctors to push tests (blood work, biopsies, surgeries etc) to make more money 2)falsifying results so that people get unnecessary procedures so they make money?

Hi all! I received an offer at an insurance defense firm but recently received a slightly better offer at a plaintiffs firm. Not sure which direction to go in. The defense firm has a crazy billable hours requirement and at the plaintiffs firm I will be managing a large docket of cases. Not sure which is more or less stressful.

I was offered partnership w/ equity at a small firm (15 attorneys, half are PI). Midsize market, not in a large city. I have 10 years of experience.

Pre-Partnership total comp was approx., $200,000 plus health insurance fully paid and 401k profit share contributions.

Partnership: salary went up by $50k w/ higher bonus potential. End of year fees are usually $8-900k/year. Half I originate, half I don’t. This year is high: already at $600k.

We are buying a house that will immediately be torn down. They currently have leased solar city solar panels on them so we want them removed. Anyone ever dealt with that?
