What are your companies doing for covid now? Are you expected to just use sick time or is there separate paid time that can be used for vaccines, testing and time needed if you are sick and get positive results?

I have an offer for a company abroad. Originally they wanted me to fly out and start the day after Thanksgiving (not celebrated in their country), but because of the holidays I suggested starting in either December or January with the ability to take some holiday days in December to fly back home for Christmas. They then proposed starting out remotely “as soon as possible” in the US as a contractor and then moving abroad to start full time abroad. (Cont)

I was hoping someone could give me some advice. I’ve been taking care of my extremely sick (literally on the verge of dying) dog. I work from home so it’s not too much of a nuisance but I feel distracted all day long and can hardly get anything done because I worry about my dog. Question about inclusion…. I’ve been teaching inclusion for 5 years so I’m still a newb, but a first year coworker of mine said she got points off on her observation because her kids were scattered in the classroom and she was having to move from kid to kid to assist. While I see the point of putting them together for convenience, I don’t agree with this at all! To me this is like singling them out by putting them all together instead of INCLUDED amongst peers. 4th year financial services associate - have an offer for a 9-5 knowledge management role at a competing firm for 94% of my current base salary. Enjoy my current role but am getting burnt out with the hours - has anyone made a similar jump? I’m worried that the km role would be less recession proof than current position.

I’ve asked for work but no luck. I know they say this is normal for a stub but when should I start getting worried and consider looking for exit options?
