you need to be 59 1/2 to take any money out of your 401k (I'm assuming all pre-tax) can't just move the 401k to a brokerage account

Market as well..first time investor as well

Is your current employer 401k at fidelity? If so all my accounts show together with one login. If you have a Ira at fidelity it should show up also. If you have a Ira elsewhere, you could have fidelity transfer it there if you want.

My point is if the 401k is not at fidelity, you can’t move it there.

Would love to get insight from folks here as I’m not quite sure what to do. I currently have around 14K in student loan debt and enough saved up to pay it off in one fell swoop. What I’m struggling with is whether I should invest that money into the stock market (thinking less risky S&P 500 ETF) and pay off my student loans monthly with the average payment being around 1000 so I can pay it off in about 16-18 months (due to interest being around 5%) or pay it off all in one go?

1. Should we go for house of that budget? We can afford, but asking based on market.
2. Should we down 15% or just 5% ? Or go for 20% ?
