I will get the ball rolling with a few, by no means is this exhaustive; - Four Agreements - First Time Manager - The Five Dysfunctions of a Team - Emotional Intelligence 2.0 Also, some other tips and tricks: - set up regular 1:1s - try to understand their goals and motivations - focus on how to get the work done AND how to help them grow and develop - situational leadership is key - treat each one as an individual

I would add Multipliers and Radical Candor to this list. Also, to VP's point, try to figure out strengths and weaknesses and put people in positions to succeed, especially when it can align with their goals.

Hi Ladies! I’m transitioning to a manager of a team I’ve been leading. There’s been a lot of turnover with the team and I feel like I’m having a hard time getting the team to see me more as an authoritative figure. For example, when I ask for volunteers on a simple task, no one replies. Should I just resort to assigning rather than asking? Also are there leadership books you suggest that I could read up on? Thank you!
