Guys, shower me with your opinion

a)60 lakh plot in my hometown , Tier 2 city indore
Or
b) 60 lakh flat in tier 1 city bangalore where I work, so it will help me in saving rent as well

Which is better ?

Option B appears more lucrative if you are a salaried individual looking to hold the asset for 10-15 years based on these assumptions:

- Property price would rise better in a Tier-1 city compared to a Tier-2 city
- You save on rental amount which would be a substantial amount for this period
- You also get tax exemptions on both Principal & Interest component (which is not applicable in case of plot)

It is to be noted that Flat prices tend to depreciate once they are older than 15 years and resale may be difficult. So suggestion is to buy the flat now, stay in it for 15 years while reaping the above mentioned benefits & eventually selling it after 15 years to buy a plot at your hometown. Hope this helps ☺️

Thanks for detailed response, however I believe property appreciation has more scope in Tier2 then in Tier1.

Moreover am planning to buy plot in area in Indore which is 2km from Infosys/TCS campus and host of other IT companies..

But you rightfully said, rental amount is forever rising and I would lose substantial amount in rent , if I continue as tenant

B

Can you please tell reasoning for this as well?

there are a couple of ways to look at it.
if you are thinking of moving back to Indore after say 10-15 years, i think it is better to invest there itself.
if you are going to be in Bangalore, buy a flat here. mind it, chances of selling a plot are much higher than a 5yr old flat.

Always plot is a better investment option.
in next 5 year your 60 lac plot become 1Cr and you will get enough
Job call for Indore as well.

Indore will have more potential in future

I had filed a complaint against Goibibo, who delayed my flight cancellation request until 1 day before departure hence the airline charged a higher cancellation amount.

A friend of mine introduced me to the portal when I filed a complaint explaining the matter in detail, uploading Twitter DM screenshots, where the company was clearly denying responsibilities on the above.

Took 2 months but today my refund was initiated by Goibibo.

I'm 22 and planning to take a life insurance. I'm comparing all policies and max life seems attractive as it has good claim settlement ratio and less premiums. But there is no office near our area. My worry is that if there is a need to claim in future, it can be done all online by my nominee? Is it recommended to take policy online in any platform(like policybazaar)?
Other options I'm considering are SBI life, HDFC life which offices are available in my locality.

Now I have recently joined a new company and here hra is 2.7LPA.

How can I claim the full hra amount? I live in a rented house where agreement is between owner and my dad. Also owner will not accept for a fake agreement too.

Any other alternative do I have to claim HRA? Your inputs are welcome here

Just realised that could've started early. I'm in mid 20s and thinking about investment. Tried watching YouTube videos. But I have pretty basic questions :
1. Where do I even start?
2. What %age of income should I invest?

I hope I'm not late.
