I just got this app so I don't know if there is DMing. But, I can connect you to some valuation personnel at my firm. I would say that the CPA is still a must to get promoted past manager unless you're creating your own specialized niche revenue.
Hi Weaver--I'm new to the platform, and am still working towards getting enough likes to be able to chat with people. Please feel free to contact me at audittaxstaff@gmail.com for now.
Like valuation control stuff? I know someone who does that and she doesn’t have her cpa. She has many years of experience doing that though and went from a large corporation to a hedge fund. I assume if you’re working at a smaller firm and you don’t have your cpa, you’ve probably never done big four? I think most companies want big four experience. Please take my comment with a grain of salt as I do not work in valuation and am just relaying what I know of one individual’s experience. The big four thing is something I’ve seen in my career path which is internal audit and governance related roles.
There are some valuation specific credentials you can get, but from my experience working with the valuation folks in my firm, you'll probably want to go ahead and get your CPA as well. Makes you much more marketable. If you have further questions about working in valuations at a larger firm, DM me. I believe we're also hiring in several locations and remote.

How many years of experience? That's would be helpful to know.
3.25 years if industry experience (Accounts Payable & Staff Accountant) before completing the 150 credits; 1.5 years of public accounting experience (including 3 busy seasons).
