Out of that only 117 have been viewed that’s 6% viewed! the hiring process is completely broken, human resources, managers, and hiring managers are not capable! The same jobs open for 2 1/2 yrs reposting salaries after interviewing 100 then cutting the salary by up to $50k They say can’t find people but they fire you in 90 days when your working 80 hours a week or people are walking!

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
- Work with the recruiter + apply for jobs on my own?

Let’s talk comp — I’m a remote head of recruitment with 6 years of experience being paid 75K base plus bonuses that got me to 90K this year. Is it common to negotiate software engineer salary at smaller companies? I know it’s common at FAANG, but what about for companies with around 200 engineers? I have a counter offer from my current company and on-site interviews scheduled for end of July with google and Amazon, but I’d prefer to go with the smaller local company if I can negotiate the salary (from offer letter) up another 5% or so.
