I have applied to several positions up Google. I have not heard anything back at all. No matter if I customize my résumé to the job description I still don’t hear anything back. I am wondering as to why Google ghost people instead of just telling them that they didn’t get the job? Do people on Google believe it is appropriate for the recruiters just a ghost people especially if they feel they don’t match the job?

Interesting thing which happened here is iam cracking each every product based interviews now after my tough preparation for Amazon and getting higher packages than what Amazon would give. So whatever happens , happens for good. Cheers Amazon

I’ve seen it take longer. I once phone screened someone, pushed them on to the next phase at the end of April and they got their loop scheduled in July. He took another offer and we really missed out.
My first phone screen was end of July, offer received Dec 21
Amazon one was "quick", like 6 weeks. My Google one started in June and got offer in Nov.
Yeah mine took about 2 months as well - did it during this year during WFH as well if that’s another helpful data point
5 weeks... but that was 6.5 years ago
