Globant India Pvt. Ltd. Hi Globers ! I have an offer from Globant for the role of a BA. While discussing the role with HR pre and post the interviews & offer, I had specifically ask the HR to tag me to Ahmedabad location as that's my hometown and I do not wish to relocate. But she has rolled out the offer for Pune location ane verbally ( isn't giving me in writing ) assured me that the location will be flexible. May I know from the fellow Globers if we have location flexibility or WFH option available? Globant India Pv

I’d leave for my same comp.

Actually I like the company. It just has some issues that would be better elsewhere.
If we’re assuming ~50 hours avg and the same hourly rate, then at least $20k more to feel like I’m whole. But I’m greedy, so I’d prob ask for $35k more and see where the negotiation lands
I’d say in this situation 135k is a walk away salary. So, I’d try to negotiate for more
20% for slightly more work, but happiness is not for sale. Like marrying for money, you’ll earn it if moneys the only reason.
I was going to say no amount of $ could make me want to work even more but that’s a lie. It would be something ridiculously high and unrealistic though like a 50% increase.
I currently work 60-65 hrs right now
How many hours do you work now in this hypothetical? Going from 40-45 hours to 50-55 isn’t a big deal. Going from 60-70+ to more than that would be a no go for any raise for me.
Anyways answer is likely 30%+. What most companies don’t tell you is you likely have to reset a bit again on career progression unless you get a higher level while moving over. I know with Accenture, experienced hires most often have to go through two performance cycles to get promoted even if HR tells them differently during hiring process.
I’d accept lower if I hated my current job but I don’t.
I’d say 40 so this hits

If i was at 100k w/ 40 hrs/wk, I’d need a >30% base increase to justify 5-10 more hours.
I’m at 160k base (180k tc) working 40 and I’d need 200k base (25% raise) to add 5-10 more hours

Working 5-10 hours more is a hard no-go regardless of the pay bump.

40-45 depending on releases or project emergencies and I’m going to stay there.
For 10 more hours a week, which is two hours a day if you don’t count weekends, I would say no less than 25%. (Plus this needs to be a great move for your career, etc.)
The difference working 8:30-5 vs. 8:30-7 is not insignificant. Or putting in 5 hours each on Saturday/Sunday. I lived that life for a long time and it got old quickly.
If the money’s there, you want to move, and it works with your career plan, yes. Just don’t allow yourself to live to work. Zero fun. Trust me.
