Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Why are most undergrads that get into MBB people from Ivy League with summa cum laude honors with extensive involvement on and outside of campus? On the other hand, big 4 and ACN are the top students from state universities with decent grades and moderate involvement. That is my observation from people that get admitted into big 4 vs MBB

For MBB vs. Big 4 broadly, the gap is significant even though the curves overlap (I.e. there are people at any firm far smarter and more capable than the bottom X% at MBB).
MBB talent distribution is also tighter IMO.

Honestly the quality of people below PL is equal to or maybe even below the B4 strategy group I came from.
It’s because B4 keeps PMI, ops, etc out of strategy, whereas MBB all those people are in the same generalist pool.
At PL and above quality starts to diverge in favor of MBB.
How is the WLB for PMI at BCG? What’s the typical duration and hours?
out of undergrad it's similar because same cohort are recruiting and it's whoever doesn't make a mistake I. e. sequencing success in interviews.
