Selected in a Big4 firm and one MNC shortlisting is going on, hopefully will be selected within 7-8 days. The MNC will be offering good package, but Big4 is just giving 20% hike in my salary and waiting for my decision to say yes or no,to proceed further with offer letter. Query :1. If I say yes to the Big4, and when they issue the offer letter, and then I reject, can they blacklist me. 2. Also if accept the offer and say no, in that case can they blacklist me from their firm.EY Deloitte KPMG PwC

40k for an AM is criminal
The CEO/Director/VP probably thinks whatever the going rate was in 2007 is competitive now.
$40K is an acceptably low salary for an entry level position fresh out to college. It’s truly unreasonable for anyone outside of that group, especially since you’re looking for someone with experience.
$60K is generally considered tablestakes for an AE (or AE-like) position. That sum being the top of the band feels like a red flag. This can all be corroborated with data from something like realagencysalaries.com. Raising your ceiling or at least raising your minimum to $50K will probably rub folks a bit better!
And this would be an accurate answer a decade ago. Inflation is through the roof.
I made $42k on the client side straight outta school. That was FOURTEEN YEARS AGO.
I made 50k as a server. Maybe start with 60k entry level and work them up from there based on experience.
Hope there is a substantial bonus expectation with a base that low.

Do they get a bonus?
No one can even live on $40k a year. $60k is barely getting by. What apartment or house can you rent for $1600/month. Maybe this would be reasonable for PT work so someone can stack it? 🥴
