I am still so angry from a interaction at work that I can’t sleep. I wish I could walk way from my position. All I asked for was the test we were giving Thursday. I had not seen it and I wanted a copy. Now the others on my “team” act like I am disagreeing with them. NO! I just wanted a copy of what was agreed upon by them for the grade level.

What is the advice on what feedback to leave for a peer who really sucks at everything y'all have worked together on? I work as in house counsel, and a lot of the employees are not qualified for their position and don’t understand legal/compliance even though they’ve been trained and should be competent enough to understand. This has been my hardest year yet. Morale is rock bottom throughout. I am feeling the burn out coming fast. Any suggestions for getting a new attitude or outlook to want to come back next year?

I’m exhausted.. Beyond stressed and feeling like I’m not doing good enough for admin. My mental health has been in the tank this year. honestly no one on campus is available to help or listen

My district is looking into Social Emotional Learning curriculum. What is the name of the curriculum your district uses? What are the pros and cons of what you have implemented?

I recently went on antidepressants for my anxiety and it has helped tremendously. I felt like I was in a constant state of panic and anger before. Meds are available if you need them!

How are you taking care of yourself if you have depression? All of my ways of staying grounded and motivated were attached to my routine and the fulfillment from work. I feel like I’m losing all motivation and struggling more the longer remote learning goes on.

Tomorrow they are requiring masks again and I was almost in tears when I found out. We have been mask free (recommended) since June and I feel like we are being muzzled again. I am vaccinated, frustrated, and have been off of antidepressants since March. I don’t even want to go into work tomorrow. Anything is better than being virtual and I am trying to look at the bright side, but moving backward still burns. We have parent-teacher conferences coming up and I am hoping that it’s temporary.

As of late, my work related anxiety has reached new levels and it’s really starting to affect me mentally. I’m part of a great team; I’m trusted and supported, have a great track record, there are no issues, and have been no incidents. Regardless, my professional self perception and confidence is so rattled as of late, it’s almost like a paralysis at times. I realize there are much larger problems right now, but if anyone has any tips or advice to get over this, I am all ears. Thanks all!

I like Sugar Rush, Time to Eat with Nadia Hussein...I’m finding that all I can watch these days are news and cooking shows. Not sure why. I just don’t have the attention span right now to follow a fiction series or movie. Interesting.

Thinking of leaving the education profession and getting a law degree. It’s just a viper pit and it’s not okay to spend your entire life feeling unappreciated.
