Salam. 23M here - all my life I’ve had my back on our faith - never really prayed but had imaan (I guess). Wife found out today that the Schedule A fed position she was hired into (and has been doing for year) was misappropriated to her because she didn’t meet the certs on USA Jobs and her permanent position is now a temporary one that will end in 10 months…..I’m flabbergasted and disgusted by the hiring agency, any know of resources (legal or otherwise) for fed employees in the weird situation?

Can’t decide between reporting + technical roles vs corporate accounting roles. Coming out of audit and I like both aspects. Has anyone tried both sides and have any insights? Does one of these have higher salary potential? Does corporate accounting give you a higher chance of reaching a controller position since you’re actually in the GL, whereas technical + reporting will probably have you in a specialized group in larger companies?
