Hi Fishes,

TiA!
I had the salary discussion with Infosys
Though I had a high CTC in my hand, they are not willing to give my expected CTC .
Infosys is offering 13lpa as a whole CTC, and though we discussed 1 week back, still I haven't received it.
Should I re-approach for a negotiation. I have an offer from Accenture (16) , Cognizant(12) , Jade Global (16)

Quite common tbh so don’t let him feel alone. It’s a common struggle for many given the age we live in. He knows it’s wrong, which is why he reached out to you. Truth with mercy is important here. Pray for him and encourage him. Have him search up good videos on overcoming this on YouTube and talk to a prayer team at church if he’s willing.
Thank for you that. Well received.
Practical advice: internet browser blocker, leave phone and laptop and table and go to bed with no electronics, pray when waking up and going to bed
Thank you. I’m mentioned this to him and he said that he still can watch the content even with the browser blocker extensions which surprised me. Putting gadgets away is a great shout and finding an accountable person to be around.
Well to be honest, I don’t know off the top of my head that those are called out as sins in His Word, but I would say that keeping to the original purpose of sex (for the purpose of reproduction, in the context of Biblical marriage) leads to a more fulfilling and happy life than empty hedonistic pleasure.
Manager1, you don't have to doubt if pornography is sinful. Look up what Jesus says about lust and adultery. Also think about the exploitation that is the porn industry. You could be watching a destitute woman, a trafficked girl or boy, someone that's been drugged, be exploited. You've probably already seen countless of these if you watch pornography regularly, whether you knew it or not. Think of the violence and grossness that exists in pornography today. Anyone who truly wants to walk with God would want to rid themselves of it. Any woman with real marketable skills would rather not be used physically for money. Just saying I'm very shocked that in a Christian space we could even be wondering whether pornography is sinful. It absolutely is!
Also, sex for many Christian denominations is viewed as more than just for childbearing. It bonds the married couple, expresses love, gives comfort and pleasurable, among other things. This also makes it meaningful for infertile couples, or couples who marry older.
He needs to look at the root of why he views porn. Usually there is an emotional component, often trying to avoid something emotionally. Once he starts to recognize what his real feelings, wants, and desires are it becomes easier to fight against urges. He needs to go all in to fighting this and track when it occurs, what leads up to it, and be willing to take some radical steps to prevent those situations in the future. Also, he may need to stop dating to focus on fixing this as dating can be a distraction.
This works for me as sometimes it’s a struggle for me as well.
Show him the benefits of no porn/ masturbation, for example increased libido, energy, and masculinity. Show him in scriptures where obedience has benefits. It’s hard to overcome but the benefits are amazing, the new dating/ relationship he will start will be better due to the obedience and God will bless him because of it.
Show him motivational videos about discipline, try to develop strategies
And obviously, pray with him. Action + prayer = immense results
