So think people should be unhappy indefinitely in their marriage just because no one has done anything to be proven to be at fault? Even after trying to work on things and going to therapy and anything else you can think of.
I'm happily married but I wouldn't make a broad stroke statement like that. What you haven't factored in is that peoe change. Many use this as a cop out excuse but I think there are truly those that grow apart to a point of zero reconciliation. I don't know how it happens but I wouldn't impose my life paradigm on someone else.
sounds a bit harsh. People change over time and can grow apart. Really too many things to list out why divorce is the right answer even when called no-fault. I do agree it's bad when no effort is made and it's just viewed as easy to divorce. In that situation shows immaturity, lack of commitment and likely should not have married to begin with
OP do you not think kids are equally damaged by parents in a miserable marriage that are thus themselves miserable people?
Does this extend to someone whose spouse is unbearable but not legally at fault? But I agree with you broadly
