I have my CFP and my CRPC. I’ve thought of dropping the CRPC and just maintaining the CFP. Thoughts?

You're thinking too much. If you don't see the value of something, stop doing it. Focus on value to clients and prospects.

like

Why,? It doesn't cost anything to keep it.

like

I am a CFP. I just had to google what the heck a CRPC even is. So many (in my opinion, worthless) designations, it’s hard to keep track.

like

Yea man lowers the CFP , clients don't know the difference though. I dropped the AAMS, just use CFP.

like

ST, being a little snarky with another posts thought process. I won’t drop it. I may drop CRPC. We got ours in almost matching years. Strange

funny

Same here, following...

Yeah there is a renewal fee. And honestly, now that I have them and the education, there is no real value to the client. So I should drop them both?

I got my CRPC in 2009 and CFP in 2014 and still have both. I kept the CRPC and have never had anyone mention it. My thinking was to keep it and the people who know designations will be impressed by the CFP and the people that don’t will be impressed by the string of letters behind my name.

OP why would you drop the CFP? In this industry people knowing that you have the knowledge is just as necessary as having it. CFP gives you the same distinction from other “advisors” that a CPA gives between accountants and bookkeepers.

The crpc is like 95 every 2 years why get rid lol

Hello,

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?

I've been an individual contributor for 4 years in Tech, have 8 years of experience total. I'm finding it difficult to make the management transition despite having management experience, performing beyond expectations, and having a genuine passion for enablement and development.

I'd appreciate any success stories or pointers you can offer in regards to this transition.
