You've got to consider the "wierdness" factor of it. Life is about making real connections, not accommodation arrangements.

I find it intriguing, and economical.

I've done it for a long time. I have moved now to a seasonal model so i can maintain community. Canada in the summer and winter and southern Utah in the spring and fall. I still mix in some trips to fam every six weeks and visits to friends. It's not that weird and is completely normal for a particular personality type. I pretty much only go to the office when I have to.

I did this for a few years. Sold my car, rented out my house, and lived on the road. I stayed with parents one weekend a month, at the client site one and sometimes two weekends a month, and visited friends all around the country other weekends. Worked great, saved enough to buy a second house when I needed roots.

You in Van, D1?

D1 how do you do it tho? Where do you go on the weekends? Also is Deloitte okay with you rarely going to the office every Friday?

Excellent acn2 I’m going to try the exact same. How did you keep your clothes with you? Check a big back and brig most of your clothes?

I had a storage unit where I would change out clothes for the seasons and where I stored valuables that I couldn't leave in my rental property. But I had two suitcases. One for the weekend travel and a larger one I would just leave at the hotel. Worked well.

Acn2 okay great tips I may do the same. Did your parents live in your area? My problem is my home office is not the same city as my parents. So I don’t have a place to keep car/clothes at my home office location

I am lateraling because my firm has forced us back into the office 5 days a week. My office isn’t super social and we are all slammed, so going into the office consists of sitting alone in my office, just like I would at home, except I wasted an hour getting ready and commuting, am in uncomfortable clothes, and am less efficient. I am actually miserable sitting alone in a cold, drab office as opposed to hanging out in a beautiful home office with my dog. People in power: take note.
