Sorry for your loss, OP. Don't worry, the US will not shut down their borders, don't think about such things now as they are less important than being with your family during such tough moments.

Hi OP, you can take short term disability leave. I took an FMLA for a while and then unpaid LoA due to certain circumstances. Sorry about your parent and hope you’re fine.
Sorry to hear about that OP. I faced through something similar in my family as well. EY has 5 days bereavement days and then you can use your 80hrs (10 days of personal days) then your vacation time kicks in (depending on the SL you are but they s should allow 3 weeks of vacation time) and then from there unpaid leave.
This is what I did however, I took a extra month of unpaid leave more giving me approx 2-2.5 months with my family in total ..
Sending prayers your way !
So sorry for your loss OP! I remember that one of my acquaintances whose mother was in India had cancer and he took more than 3 months off to be with her. I’m not sure if it’s unpaid or paid. Either ways you can take time off, please call the ssc leaves folks, they will be able to give you more information.

Two weeks is appropriate. It also depends on your client. I would try to make sure you get back n a client lane because the U.K. situation escalated really fast on Saturday.
