Sorry you feel that way and good luck to you, but now is not the time to be playing around from the job you have. It’s scary out there. Why don’t you take a leave or something instead?
I'm a manager at a smaller FL firm since Feb and I am so relieved. Feel free to message me if you would be interested in talking with them. They are very organized with 5 offices and everyone shares work. If you're overloaded then your work is moved. Workpapers are very standardized and easy to jump in. About half the time there is no state return to worry about. Lol.
Goals
Protect your peace but be smart about it. The job market is trash right now with all the layoffs. Take leave or some PTO and try to transfer to another department/ apply for other jobs in the meantime. Likely your team is trash and there are less stressful options out there.
Explore ways to take paid (STD) or unpaid (FMLA) medical leave, or take a leave of absence. I wouldn't make big decisions now while you're unwell.
I agree with others. Plan your exit and not jump without something lined up. Besides the stock market, the economy isn't sunshine and rainbows.
Do not quit out of nowhere, find job first then quit
EY have contactual jobs if you’re interested but not recommending to quit. Market isn’t good right now.
