Looked how? In a disapproving way? In an inappropriate way? Just lingering eyes?
A lot of people forgot what people look like after being remote for so long. I found it distracting to be around an attractive team again, but professionalism is important and you shouldn’t be made to feel uncomfortable going to the office.

Without seeing it it’s hard to say where the line is, but other people staring is a problem in their behavior, not yours.
The front slit can be tricky when sitting. It’s possible you were giving a peek without realizing from your angle. But agree with others here that the starer was being a creep.

Agreed. It’s a cute look but tough to pull off at work because so many fall squarely on the “nothing showing above the knees” side of professional dress. Maybe save the front slit look for winter with opaque tights. Or, for when you will be sitting under a desk. Or, stop worry because, I agree, the staring is gross and rude.
Sorry you had a crappy day; as a fashion lover myself, I hate having to navigate these dumb rules.
If you felt it was professional to wear to work then it was. People are ridiculous when it comes to how women dress.

It’s strange that:
1. You went to work
2. You weren’t wearing PJs
Not really sure why you think it’s ok to be professional in the workplace - SO pre CoVID 🙄
We have to see the skirt to give you an opinion
The weirdest part about this is that someone was staring at you sitting down - sounds incredibly creepy

K3, your colleagues comment that I was responding to was removed, likely because the content was garbage and they are advocating harassing coworkers.

These are men coming out from a lockdown 😂
Wait...I've never seen a front slit and feel like I'd stare too because I'd think you put it on backwards 😆 bit no I can't imagine it would be unprofessional
Is the spilt long? To be safe, i would just not wear it to avoid unnecessary/unwanted staring
Rising Star
You’re fine, people just haven’t seen each other in anything other than pjs in a long time.
You’re probably just hot and dudes are creeps.
Eh I sometimes check out women at work cus I’m attracted to them, but I try not to be a creep about it. I’m also a woman btw :)
Did you forget your undies?
Front slit is suggestive even if it doesn’t actually reveal much. This is why people were noticing. For example, I have a large bust and while of course I stay away from blouses that actually show lots of cleavage at work, I also am wary of work clothes with seams or other visual elements that purposefully draw attention to the chest. Personally, I’m all about being sexy, revealing, suggestive in my clothing for regular life, but I don’t want to bring that type of visual to my professional life. You are free to wear what you want! Just know that people at work will form opinions and impressions of you based on this (among other, non-physical attributes, of course!)
Not unprofessional at all
Usually slit front is dangerous to pull off at work just because when you sit down, the slit tends to go higher up then what it was.
The slit isn’t long but one of my thighs shows… I guess that looked so unprofessional to some people .. ugh
Were they clients? Might’ve just secured an extension (no pun)
