Anyone knows how to open a non-profit company?
I'm about to rage at emo night in Austin. LFG!
The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

This is a super common feeling at your age, welcome to the quarter life crisis! I’m literally helping my sister impulsively move to a new city on Saturday, she is 24.
The good news is, moving doesn’t have to be as a big a deal as people make it out to be. You can rent out your house (presumably you have a great rate and want to keep it), and go! 25 is the age to explore and do “crazy” things before you have spouses and kids and other things tying you down.

Hahaha I don’t want to make assumptions about OP!

Do it.
I packed up and moved to Nashville for a few years when I turned 25.
Didn’t really know anyone or anything there.
Treated it like a extra long vacay (with work ofcourse) and loved it.

….
Have lived in the DC area my entire life (32 years) and also want to move either to Cali or Austin. Almost in a position to pull the trigger but all my friends and family are here. Sigh 😭
I lived in dc area my whole life and moved to LA :) you’ll make new friends, strengthen your current friendships, and spend too much money on flying back to family. Worth it!

Don’t come to Charlotte, we are full.

Personally I realized I don't care where I live as long as I have people who care about me and things I care about, I'll probably live in Pittsburgh where I grew up for the rest of my life and sometimes I get depressed about that but it's so much easier for me to function when I have my support network nearby
I had the same feeling. I went to high school, college, and first 7 years of my career in the same city.
I had a itch to move too and did it! It's been nothing but amazing!
Career growth, personal growth (friends and family), and just a better understanding of life.
My thought is that you can always come back. Put your house for rent. Gain the experience and see if it's right for you.

Maybe try taking some trips around and staying in Airbnbs to scratch the itch for a few weeks at a time?

Do it. Go, make the change, get it out of the way if you dont like it go back home but you did it and gained a life experience. Dont let other people’s fears stop you.

Six cities, three countries and counting. Relocating is the best thing for growth, and discovering what you like and what you want out of life. Just one opinion 💅🏼
You sound like every other person moving to NYC right now
Including me
I feel the same way. Grew up in SF and I'm still in SF

I left SF at 27, you should move too!
Go! Go while there’s nothing holding you down. This time won’t last forever

I moved 5 states before settling at Atlanta (I met my wife here). To me it was very enjoyable. I moved from AZ to NJ to TX to MI to NY to GA 😆
Buying a house complicates things. But overall, it gave a lot of perspective. (Also I moved from india to the US) .
I think you should totally go for it. You're just gonna regret it later in life if you don't

Move!!!🥳
I mainly hate DC because we have LA-level traffic and prices for West Virginia-level scenery and hiking options. It blows. I know BuT tHe JoB oPpOrTuNiTiEs
Come to NYC!
I say y’all way too much to live in Manhattan. Love the city but I couldn’t live there.

Do it! It’s probably the best thing in your life you can do!
Sounds like you’re interested in moving within your country so that makes it much easier for friends and family to visit you, or you can visit them when getting homesick.
I had that same desire but also wanted to get out of my comfort zone and challenge myself so I decided to move to the other side of the world. This move has given me unexpected opportunities for growth and amazing experiences. I love it so much!

How about take a trip somewhere else and rent out your house in the meantime?
I have this feeling regularly. You might be feeling that way since you put down roots buying the house. Not second thoughts but it’s normal to want to run when you feel tied down. It will likely pass and if it doesn’t you can still move and rent your house out or sell. It’s a choice to stay or go remind yourself that you are never stuck anywhere.
