I’m at a quarter- life crisis. I’ve been working as a tech consultant but have had terrible project work. At this point I’m tired of the work or even just working in general and it sucks more with ADHD. I don’t know what career path I can take. I want to do something interesting where I’m always learning and growing but can also have an impact but I don’t know what to do or have a vision for my life. Any tips?

Big question: What work STYLE appeals to you?
- Short bursts of frenzied action
- Clear lists of single tasks you can finish and then forget
- Hyperfocus, single-subject tasks you can do on your own in a quiet room
- Collaborative group work involving lots of body-doubling
- Something else?

I’ve found that when I was able to answer that question, I was finally able to embark on a career path that fit my needs and interests.

Hi,
I'm in the same boat as you. I've worked for too many years in the 8:30am-5pm setting and I am tired and sick of it. I am looking for more freedom and flexibility so I am seeking out part-time jobs. I plan on supplementing the income with an online business and cash side gigs such as childcare, etc. Perhaps this is something you can do to switch things up?

like

Hmm yeah maybe I’ll have to look into part time jobs and do side gigs on the side only issue is drop in pay

Please help me with this...

So today was my first day on a stimulant (diagnosed as an adult), and everyone says its suppose to feel like *boom* magic, or normal (?) , I guess. Knowing that is figurative, what should I actually be expecting? I feel mostly the same, I think, though I came in and actually did started my work today. But I mean, somedays I do that...I just don't want to psyche myself out if I'm expecting too much. Or pscyhe myself in if I actually might not be experiencing what I should.
