I’m currently in Human Capital Consulting at Deloitte. Anyone similar interviewing for / left for Human Cap exit opportunities? Wondering what I should be looking for?

Def don’t want to just do payroll / typical HR role. Thinking more HR / people strategy!

Hi yes I’m in HR strategy / HRT been interviewing for FAANG roles, gonna go with a chief of staff for the VP of HR ops which is similar to consulting HR strategy

I'm looking at HR/Talent/People Strategy roles and/or Program Management for Talent/HR at tech companies.

like

HR talent/learning/performance, Change Management or HR Business Partner may be another strategic role, not just related to payroll

like

Been on the exit journey for a while in this space. What people mentioned above plus don’t rule out program manager roles for hr / talent / change projects, hr business partner roles, people analytics, org development, future of work postings etc

Any reason you haven’t been able to do that kind of work at Deloitte? Happy to help you network to the folks within HC who can help you do that. Of course, if you’re dissatisfied here for additional reasons, totally understand. DM me if you’re having a hard time getting plugged in to opportunities. I may be able to help.

D5 I don’t think it’s the nature of the work so much as the compensation potential elsewhere + far better hours/balance. As a SM at D im finding tech industry roles and boutique consulting firms willing to shell out a lot more $ than D

like

This is the exact reason I’m curious about exit opportunities @D5! I’ve been able to get lots of change management/comms experience here, but working 60+ hour weeks is weighing on me. Have friends at FAANG companies with better WLB and pay

Working as CAL Manager with Accenture S&C India. Offered ~GBP 76.5K (fixed plus flexi) at Manager Grade by Deloitte London.

Prior to Accenture, I have already served as S&O Manager with Deloitte India for ~1.5 yrs - so this would be my second stint with Deloitte as Manager "again".

2 questions:
1. Should I ask for Senior Mgr (AD) grade - to which they have already said NO
2. Is GBP 76.5K sitting at the lower end of M grade in Deloitte UK? What should be a good expectation for the role

Have you ever taken a career slow down? I am feeling burnt out from COVID and the incremental responsibilities thrown my way over the last 5+ years. I feel like my health has deteriorated. I like my company, but I want to do less. I don’t need to be a HR Director, CHRO, etc. With a career slowdown, I am prepared for a lower compensation and would want decent benefits. Any lessons learned or success stories about career slowdowns?

Anyone go from SaaS / licensing sales to services (strategy & implementation) sales?

I'm thinking of moving from large cap tech to large cap consultancy firm to help build the resume and round out my experience. I enjoy and do well in licensing, but I'm fairly young in my career (<6 years) and received a great offer to make the move.

Big fan of the org and team I'll be joining as well.

Thanks!!

Has anyone found a way to automate salary certifications?

We get about 3-5 requests daily to fill out salary certifications for our employees in EMEA.

At the moment, we have to do all of them manually. We open a pdf, then open their employee file and plug away. It's tedious and time-consuming, but the banks I found won't accept an internal salary certification for some reason. They're adamant about using their form. Has anyone come across this?

Financially I do need the money but I’m also tempted to stay because my current team is so great. I have 2 questions 1) when does it make sense to prioritize workplace happiness/ balance over financial well-being? 2) if I go back on my offer acceptance should I consider that bridge burned?
