No, this a test of time allotted and determination. Don't give up.
I failed more CPA exams than anyone I know (on and off it took me 6.5 years). But guess what? I did it, and I'm a fxcking CPA. Be honest with yourself. Are you studying? Like *really* studying? Do you have outdated materials? Once you have a baseline in the profession it should be achievable within a year. But it requires focus and effort. Did you fail all 8 or just some of the 8? You should see progress or change your approach.
Yea out of public
Maybe change your study methods/ habits.
Unfortunately it looks unlikely that you’ll ever pass since you’ve failed so many times :/ maybe instead of getting the CPA, consider switching to an Advisory service line
Don't give up man!
Anyone can pass the cpa. Just put in the time studying.
It depends. If it's a content thing and you really can't grasp the concepts then yes you need to find a new career. If it's a motivation or time management thing then just commit yourself to passing
I've seen 10 plus failures. At the end of the day, it is all up to you and if you want to keep trying or not.
Nooo don't give up!! I met a B4 partner that failed 7 times. It's more about perseverance rather than competency. Kinda like getting your PhD. You gotta have the time. And most people dont
Just failed 3 times on far
I'm with you, having the same thoughts/questions!
Do you need to pass? There's plenty of people who do PA who don't have a CPA. I have people in my cohort who have a CISA instead.
I usually have so much work to do, I can barely take a few days off before the exam.
Quit now
Leave of absence, study, pass,
This is one of my biggest fears haha
Go to advisory ?
