I’m looking for tips to maximize my study time. I have a baby at home and feel that I need to be fully present. It’s an extraordinarily demanding season of life, but I don’t want to sacrifice my professional goals. Just wondering if anyone has been able to find study time during such an intense season. Any advice or encouragement will be much appreciated.

Audios will probably be your best friend. The ninja one is ok. I play it all day whether I’m washing the dishes, doing laundry, making the line at the supermarket, etc. Mini mcq sessions of 10-15 questions whenever you have a few minutes also help.

like

Thank you!! I'm going to have to try this for sure.

I would ssay audio as well, I don't think reading is going to help as much. I would carve out study times for yourself - can your partner help with childcare at all?

A little bit, but I am nervous about counting on that help because it's not always reliable. It's definitely putting some strain on our relationship.

What is something low cost I can do that will be a nice “couples thing” so we can de-stress, but also make her feel special?

Question about inclusion…. I’ve been teaching inclusion for 5 years so I’m still a newb, but a first year coworker of mine said she got points off on her observation because her kids were scattered in the classroom and she was having to move from kid to kid to assist. While I see the point of putting them together for convenience, I don’t agree with this at all! To me this is like singling them out by putting them all together instead of INCLUDED amongst peers. What do y’all think?
