McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

I’ve been in your shoes, and for me, the people and culture mattered most. I left a big-name firm because the bureaucracy and draining environment weren’t worth it, even though it looked good on my resume. At my new company, the supportive culture and collaborative team have made such a difference in my happiness and productivity. Prestige is nice, but it’s the day-to-day that really impacts your life.
Honestly, I’d go with the big name if you think it’ll help you achieve your career goals faster. Smaller firms with great culture are wonderful, but if they don’t align with where you see yourself in five years, it might not be worth the switch.
All I need is more money. Whatever pays.
I think it depends on your age, usually 20s are good time to earn experience, money and big name in the cv; when you're ready to settle and you can allow yourself to slow down, why not go to a smaller firm
