🤷🏼‍♂️ In-house v. more trial experience? I’m a junior partner (insurance *coverage*) with one 2nd chair trial. I *might* have a few more trials in the next 3-4 years, but maybe not. Should I stick around 3-4 more years or go in-house at insurer now? My goal is to try to maximize my skill set and, if I go in-house, return to private practice eventually w/ some client contacts from my in-house work. Any advice??? I’m really conflicted on this. 🤔

My HR rep told me that to apply for your CPA license in MA you only need 1 year of work experience, not 2009 billable hours. Didn't sound right- can anyone confirm/deny?

Can you be on more than one project at a time? Like if you have a project that only takes up like 10 hours a week, can you get onto another project to fill the remaining hours? I know your coach is supposed to be your project manager which is why I wonder if it’s maybe not allowed?

How far into implementation and execution do you get as a strategist (and what's your specialty). I notice social strategist tend to get way more into the executional portion, even writing copy etc. whereas brand strategy tends to roll off once the briefing process is done. Does brand strategy ever go on shoots or vendor/production meeting and are they responsible for it? Just had an unclear moment where it seemed like I was expected to vet production partners and I didn't realize I should've .

Considering a move to NTT Data in a healthcare consulting role. Mixed reviews in the bowls. Major concerns are bench policy, staff aug roles, 2 week PTO, and high turnover due to job dissatisfaction. After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

My husband and I want to start a family so in preparation for pregnancy I tried lowered my Vyvanse dose from 40 mg to 30 mg to see if I could get by on lower dose. I feel like I’m not even taking medicine at all. When you lowered a dose did you get used to this feeling or should I know right away that this isn’t going to work? Received a job offer. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a concern I had about it. It's an entry level position, and I don't have much experience. The billables are 2040 a year. For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.

Came across a job opportunity at a real estate lit firm, landlord tenant issues primarily. I am very happy with my current ID firm aside from pay, but I’m up for my first raise in March. I get interesting cases and most of the partners I work with are great. This new position would be a $25k salary increase (maybe more) and I have heard work life balance there is great.
