I say get out while it's early. Don't even put it on your resume. It's better to explain that it wasn't a good fit and you left early on versus staying 6 months
That's a good question. I would leave it off, if it were me. But, if you want to show that you are currently employed you might consider keeping it on there and explaining.
My biggest thing is, during an interview I try not to focus on anything negative, so it's going to be difficult to have that job on the resume and explain how crappy the situation is without bringing up negativity.
If it’s really that bad, and you’ve tried working things out with your boss, I’d quit.
However, before quitting, I’d make sure I have a job lined up. That is just me, and I’m more conservative than others, since with the current pandemic, finding a new job will be more difficult than normal and I wouldn’t want a gap in employment from a job that I was only at for 5 months.
Can you give some examples of issues you’re having with your boss? Maybe other fish here can give some advise perspective on how to make the situation better.
Do you and your boss have regular 1:1 calls? Or is communication normal via instant messenger/email?
It’s easy for people to ignore/not read thoroughly emails or IMs. If they’re still ignoring your concerns/issues during 1:1 calls, then it’s definitely time to look for a change, or escalate up, if you feel the company culture allows for that.
