Just curious here. Married without kids and young (early 30’s) at what point did you decide in your marriages that divorce was the right answer? My husband is a good person and is very supportive of me but I just don’t feel fully understood by him, despite being with him for 9 years. I also always feel like a bad/aggressive person in our dynamic because of how his personality meshes with mine. Never realized this until I met someone else who emotionally answers my above nagging concerns.

Boyfriend and I have been fighting a lot for a while. He broke up with me, but then we decided to try to make it work after we talked. I don’t want to end my relationship. Any ideas how to save and salvage a relationship on the bricks of ending

I’ve always been a big saver minimum 15% to maxing out my 401k since I graduated college. I’m married to someone who thinks 6% is enough and likes $$$ cars. Other than the cars, they dont really spend money. For the married 🐠, how do you have the conversation with them that what they are doing isn’t enough? I try to guide them and say you want the $$$ cars but the salary you have won’t get there and you’re going to have to find a job that gets them the salary…. Then the fight starts.

How does everyone bill for family law matters? Do you always bill hourly or is there some flat fee, monthly or quarterly fee structure that could work, even in contested matters? I have cases that the clients end up spending $20-$40,000 on a contested divorce and this is really out of their budget. I feel that if my firm could charge a flat fee of $10-$15,000, it would still be beneficial from a client predictability and volume standpoint and would generate more referrals.

How do i find out if I will be happier divorced or more unhappily staying married. 2 kids; 2 & 4 YO. We have had incompatibility even before marriage on various issues but it was an arranged marriage, we tried to work it out and stay together. Her side is asking her to move on. She has taken my kids passport and kept it with her. What are the options I have to defend myself?

Stupid question but getting a divorce now and having a hard time figuring out what to do with sentimental things such as wedding pictures, travel pics, ornaments we bought together, etc. What did you do?
