I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

I heard Accenture pays more than McKinsey

Wharton undergrad is infinitely more impressive than Wharton grad anyways.
Stop being a leach and pay for it yourself. Most people aren't that fortunate to have Daddy pay for everything.
What is a dad? ..... 👀

McK will pay for your MBA, you’re fine
I really hope this is sarcasm
Wow. Totally unfair. It’s a slippery slope - soon he’ll refuse to pay your phone bill.
Let him know if he keeps this up you’ll be withholding all future Christmas visits
Is he still buying you the yacht for Christmas though?
Ohhhh I mean you should have just said upfront that you were poor; this post makes sense
Can’t tell if this is for real or not lol
My dude an MBA is close to the same as undergrad. Stop being a brat.
Uh your privledge is showing
Uh your *ignorance is showing 🙊
Get a life, I paid for undergrad and MBA myself. I sacrificed and didn’t take anything for granted and I am better off for it
Gretchen???
Man, everyone too salty to see satire for what it is 😢
Sad!
This post was complete satire. Let’s debrief like good consultants.
Five lessons learned:
1) To anyone who’s actually this spoiled but would never say something like this publicly, this thread is what the world actually thinks of you.
2) In our world where real news now reads like The Onion, I’m 0% surprised that so many ppl took this post seriously.
3) People seem proud that they’ve made it without being bankrolled. So is pity more than rage the appropriate response to a spoiled brat?
4) Who knew Americans and Brits were still so salty with each other?
5) You know you’re not from east coast or wealth when you have to Google sailboats to come up with a fake rejoinder to an accusation of owning a yacht.
OH MY GOD THEY STILL GOING I'M DEAD 🤣🤣🤣
Oh daddy won’t pay for my mba 😭
It’s okay. Don’t ask him to pay for your mba. Just ask him to donate a building to the school so they let you in on a scholarship
Lolllllll. Most of my (top 10 MBA) friends paid for most/all of their own MBA unless they were sponsored. Many American parents - even the rich ones - think grad school is your responsibility.
I definitely wouldn’t bankroll my own kids if I had the money, as they should only be going if they perceive positive ROI.
Agree. Same- my parents paid for most of my under grad, I paid for my MBA. And my daughters will have same scenario. But- find a company who will co-pay your MBA with educational reimbursement program. That’s what I did.
Op you sound like my son who I’m paying four years of engineering out of state tuition, boarding and lodging, commute, food ordering from restaurants and that’s because he’s too busy studying but barely makes 2.xx in GPA!!! Your post makes me feel better that I’m not alone... 😂
I tied my payment to their grades if they chose not to put in effort than I was done. One sailed through the other we paid one semester then peace out until they decided they really wanted it in their late twenties. We only paid 75% i didn't like what I saw with my classmates who received 100%, by the way I received 0, worked multiple jobs and loans.

Associate is McK’s post-MBA role
I’m so sorry to hear that. But he is still helping with the apartment, right? Maybe talk to mommy. She will convince him. He’s just showing his tough love.
Actually, if he’ll buy the apartment and OP can rent out the other room(s) they might end up ahead. Got to be thinking like a MBA candidate, c’mon OP!
