Don’t bother on the CFCS. It’s a new certification and not widely known. CAMS has been around for much longer and is the golden standard now for AML certification.

CFE and CAMS certified here. Get the CFE first as it is pretty easy. Then get the CAMS. The CFCS is not needed.

Ok out of curiosity - I really want to know the other ETRADE person who keep liking my comments haha.

@Grant Thornton 1Thank you! Is there much difference between CFCS and CAMS?

like

Staff OP - I would say the CFE is more similar to the CFCS. CAMS is all BSA/AML and not necessarily fraud or other financial crimes.

Question for the group. I am an experienced individual currently searching to get out of private and into public. I am a CFE and Certified Technology Business Management Executive (CTBME) with an MBA and am scheduled to take AUD of CPA on May 13th. Am I barking up the wrong career tree to try to exchange an extensive and diverse career into what appears to be specialization within public? I really enjoy project work as the monthly grind has worn very, very thin. Opinions?

I work for the US’ largest concierge healthcare company and although Covid-19 has been devastating for so many, our company constantly raves about our (recent) success and how business is booming. They have given no additional bonuses or raises to employees. My new direct report was just hired 4 weeks ago and has a large salary than I do. What’s the best way to address this was my manager as the frustration is next level and with inflation the way it is I am now struggling to get by.

I’ve been working at my job for nearly 2 years and I still feel like I’m getting the short end of the stick with billable work. For example, I’m constantly doing data entry even though I have a masters degree in economics.
