Me and my wife together earn 3lakh per month and we are saving around 1 lakh a month and 50k home loan emi (almost 70 percent principal).

Rest 1.5 Lakh we are spending in rent, lifestyle, and shopping. I feel we are spending too much and I could save at least 50k more.

Any advice?

Great, thanks for sharing this, it would be helpful, I just need this kind of inspiration.

I am 29 and my wife is 28 years old.

I just wish, with years to come we both mature enough, so that we want to have a minimalistic, simple and sustainable lifestyle.

Why Home loan EMI and Rent at same time ?
and put limit to your shopping spending to only once a month, that will help you to save more.

Actually I took a home loan five years back for a flat in Noida which is already at a good position, I mean I bought it at 4000 sq ft and it is now almost 6-7k per square feet.

My parents live there and we have recently shifted to another city, and hence buying a lot of stuff for the house lately.

your current purchase is just a temporary spike so I will be controlled in sometime. One settled you can contain the expenditures within 1 LPM. That is possible.

Hi all! I’m new! I started the year off planning to save for a home for myself, then rates skyrocketed. So we’re holding off. Fast forward to the final quarter of the year and we were presented with the idea of a residential assisted living facility. The problem there is we’d still need to acquire property in order to run one. The only difference is the RAL would be a business and is already registered as such. Does anyone have any experience here?

I feel like I've been living under a rock for ~5 yrs. I was happy and blowing off money with the thinking that I'll start saving once I start earning more.

Just realised that could've started early. I'm in mid 20s and thinking about investment. Tried watching YouTube videos. But I have pretty basic questions :
1. Where do I even start?
2. What %age of income should I invest?

I hope I'm not late.

Hey, i am looking to invest 25-40k where i can easily make 7-12% of return. I am looking for things like rd which have very low risk appetite. I will be using this collected amount to invest in stock market when stocks are made available at very cheap prices...

Hello guys,

How much % of salary do you save?

While mentioning %, please let us know if you are married/unmarried, pay rent or not.

Just want to know if 70% is enough for a single man who does not pay rent. Or am I saving less money?

So the National Consumer Helpline really works.
I had filed a complaint against Goibibo, who delayed my flight cancellation request until 1 day before departure hence the airline charged a higher cancellation amount.

A friend of mine introduced me to the portal when I filed a complaint explaining the matter in detail, uploading Twitter DM screenshots, where the company was clearly denying responsibilities on the above.

Took 2 months but today my refund was initiated by Goibibo.

Hello everyone, need a help from you.

Previously my HRA amount was 96000 per annum so I was submitting a rental agreement of full hra without giving pan card details of myself and first party.

Now I have recently joined a new company and here hra is 2.7LPA.

How can I claim the full hra amount? I live in a rented house where agreement is between owner and my dad. Also owner will not accept for a fake agreement too.

Any other alternative do I have to claim HRA? Your inputs are welcome here

Other options I'm considering are SBI life, HDFC life which offices are available in my locality.
