Is this intended to be a long term child care solution, like can you use this for years, or is it expected to be used for emergencies/when normal care falls through?
A good number of firms offer backup/emergency through various providers such as Bright Horizons. Not many offer day to day solutions. Seems they received a lot of feedback that this something their employees need. It's been difficult finding reliable childcare.
What’s the downside? I feel like as someone without kids, I am often working around others’ childcare needs and flexing to help them as those emergencies arise. If this lets them be more comfortably and confidently present to participate as a teammate, I’m all for it.
One of my favorite benefits (as a mother to 3). It really makes the back to work after maternity leave transition so much smoother. I know several companies give you additional days for new borns (under 1). I’ve also used it for my toddler kids during the summer/spring break etc.
Next do one for my dogs man that would be awesome
A lot of companies used to do this before. Things are coming back.
Sounds like a nice perk and a push to get people back to work in a ‘RTO’ setup..getting a reliable care is hard these days, would go for it
