You know what consulting requires. That’s not going to change and the hill gets steeper over time.
Is the potential for increased money worth it to you? $450k ain’t bad and will probably not be your ceiling in industry.
I downshifted a few years ago and make the a little less than I did in consulting but work half as much. Im spending more time with family, on personal projects and on non-profit work.

I’m still in consulting, it’s just in a smaller, more focused practice. We’re also not the mainline business but a revenue enhancer to other business lines. The work is stimulating just not all consuming. I’m also leaning a lot and get a chance to lead.
Sure, the blue chip consulting partnership would have more bling, but the partnership run revealed an anxiety issue I wasn’t aware of and after all that I found out it wasn’t worth it for me.
So I get to do good work that I’m good at and don’t spend too many hours a week doing it.
There is a PPMD bowl for exactly these kinds of questions. You are asking for constructive opinions only but you know this is a flex when you post it in the general bowl
