I don't think that is always the case. I was a therapist at a kid's hospital. I was hit, kicked, punched, bit, had things thrown at me, you name it.... they could be smiling at you one minute and the next minute tables are being flipped over. You could be walking down the hallway and bam a fire extinguisher has been thrown at your head without you even knowing the child was behind you or they could have just come out of their room. You never know... They could ask for a hug because they are having a good day and then something triggers them and they bite you! You're not failing your job they are hurting and/or mentally unstable, and thats why they are there.
I thought so too before. But I realized it is not the case all the time. Accidents happen even if you use proper precaution.
Well, it can really make you look like one. No offense, but accidents happen from time to time. It's a different story if it's because of the things you mentioned.
