100% agree with this. It's devastating. We talk to pet parents about insurance with all new adoptions because things come up often that are impossible to predict or plan for and insurance can really help out in those situations. We also have a few nonprofit partners that are able to assist with some situations, but it's impossible to rely on that all the time.
My heart breaks for them. Especially when I know that they really want to give the best care for their fur babies. I see it too many times.
It so sad. I get to speak to a lot of guardians about their pet's condition and how much they worry about the cost. It's really really heartbreaking.
It saddens me every time this happens. And the least that I could do is do whatever I can for their babies. I wish I could do more.
I had an elderly woman come in with her sick dog. We explained to her that her dog may need surgery. She asked if there are other ways to treat the dog. sadly, all she can afford was something to delay the progression and not a treatment. I still tear up whenever I remember this.
I know how you feel. If only I could pay for the entire treatment, I would do it in a heartbeat. But I'm struggling to make ends meet too. I feel awful.
I know but everything is so expensive
I know! I feel so bad for them. Most of them are not financially capable of covering the cost.
